I went to the farmers market today and a woman was selling these amazing roses.
They are 100% untreated, so I will make some rose jam with them.
But an instant gratification is to make rose petal ice cubes.
Simply place one or two petals in each compartment and fill up with water.
Freeze and you will have the most stunning ice cubes ever.
You can use this idea with any untreated edible flowers and herbs.

Note!
Thanks to everyone who emailed me regarding the spelling of petal.
Not peddal as I first wrote.
English is not my first language, and I do not get offended by emails wanting to correct any miss-spellings.
Keep em'coming.

simply love it !

That's a very nice idea for a summer garden party.
And I like the photo. Light green an delicate pink.
Wonderful combination.

peddle!!! Hilarious. This language doesn't detract from the beauty, however.

What a great idea that also supports local produce/vegetation. I love the magenta lines the petal edges create. I saw wall art at www.modernmural.com with a similar botanical aesthetics, especially if you love the forms of O'Keefe-esqe florals.

Adding roses to various foods such as syrup or as a sweetner for tea may be some of the benefits you may find. Thanks for sharing.

Wow that's cool I never thought of putting roses in ice cubes. Looks really pretty when it's all done. I just have to make sure the guests don't use them as actual ice cubes. I wish you could keep them on display in a home without them melting.
