I used to love fish sticks as a kid, I still do but have to admit that I haven't had one in like 10 years.
My grandmother used to make them and serve them with cooked potatoes, shredded carrots and melted butter.
Om my, it was so good.
I totally need to get my sweet ass down to the fish monger today and get some cod......
Enjoy!
Fish Sticks
Serves 4
2 cups panko crumbs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 pound white firm fish fillet, such as sole, cod, etc.
In a large bowl, mix panko, salt and pepper.
Cut the fish into 1-by-3-inch pieces; dip in butter, followed by panko.
Place on baking tray covered with parchment paper.
Bake for about 15 minutes, or until golden.
Serve with lemon and steamed bok choy.

Oh...my...goodness! If we had been served fish sticks that looked like these when I was in grade school, I'm quite sure I would have turned out to be a MUCH happier adult. I'm almost positive of it. :)
Thanks so much for sharing what looks to be a delicious recipe!

Your photos are always cleverly done and I like the addition of the little lambs(?) looking at the plate of food. Cheers!

This looked yummy and my blog partner and I attempted to make them today- one thing though- there was no oven temperature in the recipe! What temp should these be baked at?

What a lovely idea! I so envy you the cherry blossom season, here we are going into autumn.
But I will glue some flowers on the thorny branches :-)This is such a great idea. Who would think of dressing up bare branches like that? Just a wonderful creative thing to do. I love to visit this blog, to see what you are up to. 2945abc45 0421
