You can use mushrooms for more then just eating.
They also make the most amazing prints, very vintage and cool looking.
You need:
a few pages from an old book
10-12 fresh mushrooms, important that they are fresh
hairspray
Remove the stems and place them on the book pages and cover with a large bowl.
Let stand for at least 1 hour.
Lift the bowls and spray the paper with hairspray.
You will need to do 3 coatings.
What happened is that the spores of the mushrooms fell onto the paper and made the most wonderful print.

A couple years ago we had a wet spring and mushrooms popped up everywhere. I wanted to identify them and bought a guidebook. It turns out making a mushroom print is important to identifying them. I'm so mad this cool idea of turning them into art prints didn't occur to me then. I hated throwing the papers away, the prints were so beautiful.
