This is a hanging bench from my old garden.
Its simple a white painted bench from IKEA with the legs sawed off.
Then drill two holes on the end of each side and pull a thick rope threw it.
Hang it from a strong tree branch.
Perfect place to read the paper while sipping on a cocktail.
Have a fab weekend all.

I appreciate the way you can take a simple object and completely re-purpose it. Thanks so much for all of your creative ideas!

Så smart ide!! Skulle ønske jeg hadde noen gamle frukttrær i min hage hvor jeg kunne satt denne gode ideèn ut i live...
Ha en fin søndag!

More details, please! :) Is it two ropes, and they go under it, and back up the holes on the other side? If so, how does it not tip backward? How do you attach to the tree to support the weight of two people without collapsing?

Monica, I'm sure you could build an A frame for it as well.
I would really love this as well. Now to get the bench and have my hubby build a frame for it...

Brilliant! I take that back. SUPER BRILLIANT! I see an Ikea trip in my near future... and a saw in my hand.
