This is so needed with this hot, muggy weather - thank you!

perfect! i should've made this last night, instead i went the lazy and unhealthy route with ice cream. this would be great for a casual BBQ! it's def on my list.

Beautiful strawberries and I am with you on the heat. Dallas is crazy hot and humid. fresh fruit is really all you think about! ann

tash

perfection! Absolute perfection! I'd also stick them in the freezer for about 10 minutes to make them ice ice cold!

Ha ha I agree, and I always go for the simplest recipes, too. Actually, this is the best way to taste the origin flavor of the food we eat.

Nice photo as always :D

Rambles with Reese

I hear ya! I just got back from Vancouver, Canada which has warm summer days and cool nights to hot, hot, hot and humid in Italy. Big, big difference! I definitely don't want to spend too much time over a hot oven or stove.

So simple, but so refreshing. Wish I'd thought about it a month ago when the strawberries were plentiful here. What a great idea.

I've been indulging in the beautiful strawberries we're having here now, Paul - adding this recipe to the list!

sounds delicious! there's nothing like fresh strawberries in hot weather . . .

Yummy! Good idea with the lime. I could easily enjoy this with something sparkling... yum...

Yum! These look fantastic.

Red and lovely! Those strawberries are so gorgeously looking.

Very tantalizing indeed! Your recipe reminds of one learnt from an Italian friend who uses lemon juice instead of lime zest. The finishing was the same with sugar too ;-)

I'm guessing they're both as refreshing!

Yummm... think I'll have this as after meal treat.
