You guys should know by now that I'm one doilie crazy dude.
This is a bed spread I made for Country Living a while back.
I sewed vintage doilies onto a linen fabric from The Conran Shop.
Pin them in place and then hand stitch them onto the fabric.
The effect is really beautiful.
Please note my rug on the right thats made of huge old doilies I have sewn together.

I love this. I don't remember them using it in the magazine spread. If they didn't, they should have.

Ceci est une tentative de gros scandale public parce que ça calme pas mal les gros connards en attendant de trouver enfin un avocat qui réglera ce problème de non respect de mes droits les plus élémentaires et je le conseille à chacun qui peut avoir des ennuis avec ce gros connard de sarkozy ou sa clique de clowns de flics minables : je suis donc en train de régler un petit problème du genre détail avec cette grosse tache de si peu président de la république Française, en lui envoyant un avocat pour mises sous surveillance illégales, lynchage numérique inspiré de bonnes vieilles méthodes qui ne déplairaient pas au ku klux klan, lynchage qui n'a mobilisé personne sur le web ou dans la presse et plagiat, par une grosse pouffe, vulgaire et ridicule et qui passe à la télé, de mes petits textes web.
Quant a sarkozy, s'il n'aime pas le web, et s'il n'aime pas la rue qui sait, la preuve, très bien se défendre, qu'il la quitte !

Lovely. I especially like the doilies on the floor in a larger size. The crochet work is really nice. Wish I could see it bigger.

at the thrift store...bringing it home to find it's filled with old doilies, beaded bits & cut off net and lace victorian sleeves and collars. yes this did happen and you make me this happy.

i am currently collecting doilies to make a shower curtain. so far i have a huge square table cloth and several small and a few med doilies. I SO CANT WAIT TO GET ENOUGH TO START MY PROJECT!!!
