I was thinking that today's post is perfect for all you summer brides out there.
Beautiful and easy enough to make yourself and terror your friends and family to make them for you.
I have seen the bridezilla shows!
I used dahlias in this picture, but you can use any big headed flower you want.
Trim the bottom off a floral foam sphere so that it can sit on a cake stand.
Soak them in water at least 1 hour.
Clip the stems short, insert one by one into the floral foam until covered.

I did something similar to this for a wedding shower once, except I used yellow and white daisies and square foam which I then tied with a ribbon to look like a "gift" box. These are exceptionally beautiful and the cake stands make me swoon!

I had to try this right away. The paper I found seems to be thicker or crisper than what you used - yours seems almost transparent. Also, the edges were hard to roll. I tried using a knitting needle to get it to curl better, but no luck. I ended up having to fold and crease and then relaxing that as I rolled. So mine look more like roses, I guess. But I love making them. Yes, I am serious about my paper-crafting.
