Those little yarn chicks are so cute! I loved that article! FYI: back when I learned how to make pompons, I was instructed to use a fork to hold the yarn balls over steaming water on the stove while using the long tie strands to hold them onto the fork. The little balls would really fuzz and look smoother. Not sure how they would look as chicks, but we were making them to put on stocking caps, bedroom slippers, etc.
