Old books have always been a passion of mine.
Ever since I as a 18 year old covered my entire bathroom with the pages from 1800 C books.
It was really cool.
Often you can find old beautiful books that are missing pages, or missing all pages like the large book cover above.
I turned it into a piece of art by adding a page from an old book and cutout butterflies make from books as well.
I glued them on the book with small glue-dots.
They are easy to remove and you can move the butterflies around.
The butterflies cutout makers can be bought at martha stewart crafts.com
Have fun and a great weekend.

I love how you added the butterflies.

It's amazing how such small creations can make such a statement. I love this idea. I have tons of old books that I have kept for years (they belonged to my great-grandmother). I will have to try my hand at this DIY project!
XOXO

how fabulous...I agree with the 'old'... my grandmother thinks my fasicination is absurd... I see and can almost feel a story or a persons history just by touching old books or pictures. I love the butterflies and look forward to exploring more of your site. take care.

Looks great! I am amazed at all the different uses I see for the typewriter keys. One of my cousins uses them to make bracelets, and they sell at craft shows like hotcakes.
