Prune and yoghurt cocktail with chocolate.
I served this to a friend of mine and she said "Prunes? Are you kidding me? Do I look like im 80?"
Why do prunes have such a bad reputation?
Are they only for old ladies with blue hair?
I do remember my grandmother always having a bag of prunes in the fridge.
I always thought they where yummy.
And if you mix them up with sugar, vanilla, yoghurt and some chocolate.....come on!
Its a fab dessert, and the best of all, ITS VERY GRANDMA FRIENDLY!

I referenced your sugar cookie gift tag idea in my blog a few days ago. You have wonderfully creative ideas. This drink is interesting and stunning. I can hardly wait to try it. How does it taste?

I admit I'm not always a fan of prunes (dried plums to you youngsters). But you had me at this photo. If prune dishes always looked this glam, I'd have them ALL the time.

I tried this dessert yesterday and it came out well. Just a little more sugar for the taste and a little more hot water so the prunes blend better. This will definetly be the dessert at our christmas dinner... since there will also be vegetarians who don't eat eggs.
@ carolina: It's not a drink... it's a creamy dessert.

Hi Paul,
Just discovered your lovely site through Marx Foods (shh--I'm a fellow competitor!).
Your recipe reminds me of a wine-stewed prune dish from one of my favorite Brooklyn restaurants, Frankies: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/05/31/dining/312srex.html
It's been on my list to try for awhile.
Love your site--I'll be back!

Looks almost as good as the Prune Yoghurt sold by Ativia. (Another yoghurt company sells prune and walnut yoghurt.)
And the Ativia Prune Yogurt is soooo good! Tastes almost like chocolate I think.
I was put off for a while before trying it - because of the old person connotation - but after I tried it once ... I now look for it every time I shop! (It's not available very often unfortunately.)

Pictures on traditional Grecian ceramics and temple carvings on the Acropolis and other sacred websites illustrate warriors sporting elaborate plumed metal helmets made to secure towards sword blows. Medieval European knights often wore complete metal headpieces that guarded versus smashing, slashing, and stabbing. All these were worn over serious leather and cloth liners that protected skulls from helmet abrasion and supplied additional safety versus injuries.
