This time I give you a really beautiful craft idea.
These are snow flakes make of egg whites and sugar.
Make such a pretty ornament for your tree.
They can be eaten, but they are pretty hard, so I would use them more for decor.
Great as a little gift as well, almost look like a little jewel.
Snow flakes
Makes about 60
2 egg whites
4-5 cups of powdered sugar
sugar
small silver dragees
Place the egg whites and powdered sugar in a food processor and beat it on hight speed for 10 minutes.
The mixture should be very thick. If it is not thick enough, add more powdered sugar.
Fill the mixture in a piping bag with a thin tip.
Make a snow flake template in the size you want them to be.
Put the template on a table and put wax paper on top.
Follow the template and pipe on all the lines.Make sure the lines are not to thin, as the snow flakes will brake very easy.
Sprinkle with sugar and decorate with the silver dragees.
Let the snowflakes set for 48 hours, I know its a long time, but trust me.
Lift them very carefully of the wax paper.
If you want to hang then on your tree just tie a thin thread to the snowflakes.

Oh my goodness these are so exquisite (just came over from Whip Up). Love all the christmas ideas you have. I noticed that you said you loved christmas - me too. Though this year I have teenage children who need re-inpsiring. Think that's what your recent posts have given me to share with them. Thank you.

Very lovely, delicate and beautiful.
Such a perfect break from the otherwise gaudy commercial Holiday gear.

These are gorgeous and seem pretty easy to make! At least, mixing but I'm not sure I would have a steady enough hand to make such a lovely snowflake!

Would dipping them in hot chocolate make them easier to eat? But I do agree that they are beautiful and would rather display them.
