LA tips!

Im going to Los Angeles tomorrow.
Otis is shooting a commercial there this week and Im spending the weekend.
Only been there once for 12 hours, so I need some tips.
Does anyone know of any cool places to go vintage shopping?
Im looking for places that sells cool vintage housewares, fabrics etc.
Any other tips would be great as well.
Flee markets etc.
Can't wait to kiss under the hollywood sign( Always been a dream of mine).

I'd suggest the Pasadena Rose Bowl flea market but it's next weekend, not the time you are here. Bummer! :(

I love the enormous St. Vincent de Paul in L.A., but sometimes it's hit or miss. But there's a store across the street from it that is awesome. Also the Fairfax Trading Post, which is every Sunday in the Fairfax High parking lot. There's a lady there who sells the most awesome vintage textiles (hand towels, tablecloths, etc.). There are some cute stores in Burbank on Magnolia. South Pasadena also has a cute little strip of antique/vintage stores, I think it's on Mission. If I had to pick one I'd do Fairfax.

Oh! There's also this Santa Monica antique market on Sundays at the Santa Monica airport. It's pricier but a lot more curated than Fairfax or other flea markets. My favorite stall there is French Guy, who sells awesome vintage French dishes and jars and stuff.

Also I wonder if I could use the word awesome more times in that post. :(

Paulie, you could also try Abbot Kinney which is a street in Santa Monica - has great shops that you might like. Have Fun!

too bad the flea market isn't going on at the rose bowl...it's amazing.

there is a really cool vintage clothing/trinket place in Topanga Canyon. It's called Hidden Treasures. It's a bit out of the way, but it's a beautiful drive and very scenic and it's an historical section of LA that most people never see or even know is there.

Just landed in LA.
The sun is shining and its all good.
Thanks for all your great tips guys, really great.
My man will mostly work, so I should have lots of time to go exploring and do some shopping.
Big hugs

I second Abbot Kinney - you MUST go to Bountiful - my favorite shop/experience in LA!

Also - check out the bar at the Viceroy Hotel - uber Hollywood Regency!
