Had the day off today and was a bit bored.
So I thought "Lets try my new camera"!
I went to Whole Foods and looked around and found these wonderful red and golden beets.
When I got back I set up a small table next to the window and made myself a little photo shoot.
A little cooking then a little shooting....I must say I really enjoyed this.
And it does not look to bad?
Or what do you guys think?
Be honest, I can take it, after all I am a big boy!
I want to wish you all a very happy easter.
Myself is spending it in sunny Fort Lauderdale where Im working on a photo shoot for Celebrity Cruises.
Been in Florida for almost a week now, First in Key West and then here.
Its been great to feel the sun warm a winter pale face, I kinda feel more alive.
Tomorrow I will head back to NYC, its still cold there. I guess there is a very slim chance that spring will come in one day....I can always hope.
I leave you with some easter muffins I shot with Studio Dreyer Hensley some years ago.
Happy easter all.
I shot this valentines story with my good friend Frances Janisch on thursday.
I know you all must think Im slow, wasn't valentines last month?
But no, Im early....its for next year.
The inspiration for the story was all these vintage flowers I got at a sale at ABC here in NYC.
I even asked Denise Sharp to make me a vintage looking heart shaped box.
She did and the result was so beautiful.
I know I should wait a year to show you these, but I cant.
And hey, we all need love and romance all year around, right?
So enjoy....and happy valentines...lol.
I just want to say Thank you so much to everybody that left comments about our dear Charlie.
We have read every single one and you have no idea how much this means to both Otis and myself.
Charlie was an amazing dog and even if most of you never met her, I feel that she somehow touched you all.
Its like having caring friends all over the world.
There are so many amazing good people out there in blog land.
Again, thanks you so much friends.
Its with a very sad heart I write this post.
Our beloved Charlie passed away earlier tonight.
She was hit by a car outside our house, we rushed her to the hospital, but they could not save her.
She was the most loving, trustful and amazing dog.
Charlie was only two years, but in that short time she touched a lot of people.
She had a short but very happy life filled with love.
She is now in an amazing place running around and playing with the other dogs.
We will miss her so much.
Trying to get ready for work trip to Key West.
We leave saturday and all day today I have been packing up props to be fed ex down there.
All while baking cakes for a shoot tomorrow.
A bit stressed, but when I look at the pictures of the house we are going to stay in....I get very calm.
I have been there twice before for shoots, its a beautiful house with a great kitchen, (where I will be slaving away), outdoor eating, pool and the most charming guest house where myself and Mr.Otis will stay.
Have a look at the pictures taken by Studio Dreyer Hensley.
You can get more info on the house here.
